Insomnia (Sleeplessness problem) : Home Remedies
Sleep (insomnia) is a common problem in which there is no sleep even if it is very hard to sleep. Due to this, sleep does not get fulfilled at night and tiredness, tension, headache, irritability, depression, and unhealthiness in the day seem to have problems.
There are two types of insomnia – acute and chronic. Most people have acute insomnia disease, which occurs for a few days or weeks. On the other hand chronic insomnia may occur for several months or years.
The causes of insomnia – stress, depression, anxiety, mental discomfort or disorder, the habit of taking less sleep, consumption of caffeine or other stimulants, changes in the gold environment, irregular life and lifestyle. Some medical conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, acid reflux etc. can also cause sleep problems. This problem may also be due to the consumption of certain drugs such as corticosteroids, alpha-blockers, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, etc.
Here are the home remedies for sleeping, which you can get good sleep –
1. Cumin Seeds
Cumin is a culinary spice which also enhances the body’s sleep by increasing the digestive power of the stomach. In traditional Ayurvedic medicine it was considered to be a very beneficial remedy to increase sleep. Zero oil is also considered as beneficial.
Mix a banana and add a spoon of cumin powder in it. Eat it every night before sleeping. To make cumin powder, fry it dry and then grind it to powder.
You can also consume cumin seeds for fighting fatigue and unrest. Often, insomnia and fatigue are eliminated throughout the moment due to its intake. To make tea, take a spoon of cumin seeds in a light flame for five seconds, now boil it with one cup of water. Boil it until the cumin seeds are completely visible in the water. Now let it cool down and then filter it. Your cumin tea is ready. Do it even before sleeping at night every night.
Nutmeg has sedative properties which promote natural sleep.
Mix one fourth spoon of nutmeg powder into a cup of hot milk. Eat it before sleeping.
Or you can also consume a quarter spoon of nutmeg with a cup of hot water. Eat this before bedtime.
Or mix a pinch nutmeg powder with a spoon of amla and drink it three times a day. This remedy, along with insomnia, will also help in indigestion and depression.
Saffron properties (mild sedative properties) are beneficial for sleeping.
Mix two saffron cloves into one cup warm milk.
Eat it before sleeping at night.
4. Chamomile Tea
Since ancient times Chamomile T has been used as a sleeping medicine. Although the main reason for this has not yet been ascertained, some research has revealed that the compound known as apigenin in chamomile may be the reason for this.
Take a cup of Chamomile T before sleeping to get the sleep and relax. You can also add cinnamon and honey to enhance flavor.
Banana consumption can also be beneficial for sleeping because it contains niacin amino acids which helps to control sleep pattern by increasing the level of serotonin. Banana also helps in fixing your mood and also keeps digestion power properly.
6. Hot milk
Hot milk is a very beneficial home recipe to relax the mind and body. Like Banana, Niacin also contains amino acids that promote sleep.
Mix one quarter spoon cinnamon powder in a cup of hot milk.
Take it one hour before sleeping.
7. Fenugreek Juice
Fenugreek juice removes the problem of anxiety, insomnia and dizziness.
Grind fresh fenugreek leaves and prepare the juice.
Mix two teaspoons of fenugreek juice a teaspoon of honey twice a day.
Valerian is a medicinal herb that has muscle relaxant properties. It promotes deep sleep by producing relaxation.
Mix one and a half spoons of valerian and nutmeg in two cups of warm water. Keep it kept for 15 minutes and then filter the water and take it. Do not treat this treatment for more than two weeks because it can cause some heart related problems.
Benefit from the consumption of valorian tea also.
You can drink only half a teaspoon of Valerian juice by adding it in a cup of water. Make this remedy three times a day.
9. Hot Bath
Sleep well after taking a hot bath two to three hours before sleeping. It relaxes the body and calm the nervous system.
To make this remedy more effective, add some dried essential oils such as balm juice, chamomile oil, lavender oil, etc. in water.
10. Apple cider vinegar and honey
Apple cider vinegar contains amino acids that remove fatigue. Along with this, it breaks the fatty acids present in the body and converts it into niacin (tryptophan) which is beneficial in removing insomnia. Honey helps in sleeping by increasing the inflammation of insulin and serotonin. Serotonin is a brain chemical that regulates the sleep cycle.
If the level of serotonin is low, sleep often breaks and does not look right. On the other hand, sleeping more when the level of serotonin is high. Therefore, keeping the treatment according to your needs, keep the level of serotonin in between.
Mix two-two spoon Organic Apple cider vinegar and honey into a glass of hot water. Drink it before sleeping
Alternatively, tonic can also be made by mixing two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in one cup honey. Take this tonic a spoon daily.
In addition to adopting the above measures, you also need to fix your lifestyle such as sleeping and regular routine, sleep early at night and wake early in the morning, eat dinner fast and do not eat more than necessary, regular Yoga, do not consume caffeinated substances.
